Building a ReedbedThe Ground SheetA settlement tank is to be constructed between the septic tank and the reed bed. The front wall is seen here. Then an impermeable sheet is laid in the hole. It must be on a smooth bed so that it does not puncture. We put down builders sheets, then a carpet like sheet to cover pointed stones and finally the geotextile membrane. It must be laid up against the walls above the height that the water way settle, i.e.the outlet of the settlement tank.
